The Next-Generation Marketplace for Gift Cards
The Ajándékbár project is an ambitious initiative by the team behind Bónusz Brigád, Hungary's leading coupon site. The goal was to create a niche platform where users can purchase gift cards from various service providers in one central location. The project's main challenge was the extremely tight deadline: development started in early November, and a functional version had to be delivered for the Christmas season.
The Three Pillars of the Platform
The system's efficiency is ensured by three closely integrated modules:
- Consumer Webshop: A clean interface that allows users to browse and buy gift cards quickly and easily, even without registration.
- Partner Portal: Service providers have their own interface to upload offers, manage promotional codes, and track redemptions in real-time.
- Admin Portal: The central control panel where administrators approve partner offers and manage transactions and financial workflows.
Technology Innovation and Payment Solutions
During development, we focused on modern and scalable solutions:
- Development Stack: The site was built using Next.js, with Supabase managing the database and Vercel handling deployment. Every phase was preceded by Figma-based prototyping.
- Payment Integrations: The system supports multiple payment solutions, including Stripe, Borgun (B-Payment), and Bink, ensuring smooth transactions between partners and customers.
- Automated Contract Management: A key innovation in the V1 version is the automated digital contracting process, significantly speeding up the onboarding of new partners.
Agile Development and Results
Due to the tight deadline, we launched with a V0.5 version containing critical functions for the Christmas peak. Through ongoing collaboration, we continue to develop the platform, with the V1 version currently being finalized to add even more features.
